These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website located at www.consultingforanimals.com (the “Site”) and our consulting services in the areas of animal care, shelter management, and emergency/disaster preparedness, response, and recovery (the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Site or engaging our Services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you are accessing these Services on behalf of a government entity or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

 

Scope of Services

We provide consulting, training, and strategic planning services related to:

• Animal care operations and welfare standards

• Shelter/sanctuary management practices

• Emergency and disaster preparedness planning

• Regulatory compliance guidance

• Staff and volunteer training programs

 

Our Services are strictly advisory in nature. We do not provide veterinary care, animal rescue, or emergency response services. Our recommendations are to be implemented at your discretion and in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

Eligibility

Our Services are intended for professionals operating within animal shelters, sanctuaries, governmental agencies, and similar institutions. You must be authorized to act on behalf of your organization when engaging our Services.

 

Client Responsibilities

As a Client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and timely information necessary for the provision of Services.

• Cooperate fully during assessments, planning, and implementation phases.

• Ensure that implementation of our recommendations complies with all local, state, and federal laws.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding any proprietary materials provided to you.

 

Intellectual Property

All materials, tools, frameworks, and written reports provided are the intellectual property of Consulting for Animals unless otherwise noted. These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside your organization without our express written permission.

Government entities may receive a limited license to use such materials for internal purposes, as allowed by applicable procurement and copyright laws.

Fees and Payment

• All fees are outlined in individual service agreements, proposals, or government contracts.

• Payment terms are NET 30 unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Late payments may incur interest charges as permitted by law.

• Government purchase orders and invoicing procedures will be honored when applicable.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations must be made in writing with at least 7 days' notice before scheduled service dates.

• Cancellations within 7 days may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total project cost.

• Refunds are granted only if we are unable to deliver Services due to our own failure or cancellation.

 

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

• Actions taken by your organization as a result of our recommendations.

• Injuries or incidents involving animals or personnel during or after implementation.

• Noncompliance with laws or regulations not explicitly covered by our guidance.

ou agree to hold us harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from the use of our Services, to the extent permitted by law.

 

Confidentiality

We will not disclose your proprietary or sensitive information without your written consent, except as required by law. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of our proprietary methodologies and tools.

 

Third-Party Services

We may recommend third-party resources or service providers. We do not control or endorse these third parties and are not responsible for their services or conduct.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington, United States of America. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Washington, unless otherwise required by your government contract terms.

 

Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted to our Site and take effect immediately unless otherwise stated.
