MEET THE TEAM

Tim Perciful

With a background in the fire service and national animal rescue teams, I’ve seen firsthand how disasters impact animals and the organizations that care for them. I’ve assisted farms, shelters, clinics, and emergency agencies in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. I help organizations develop emergency plans, procedures, and training to improve preparedness. I'm also available to support response and long-term recovery efforts after a catastrophe. Growing up on a farm instilled my love for animals, but it was my fire service experience—responding to barn fires, floods, and wildfires—that sparked my passion for animal rescue. I joined national teams, deploying across the U.S. and later educating veterinarians, responders, and animal services on rescue techniques. I served as Disaster Response Manager for the ASPCA and American Humane Society, leading responses to hurricanes, wild fires, hoarding cases, animal fighting, and more. I lead efforts in training volunteers for emergency response, rescue, and sheltering, while collaborating with organizations and agencies at all levels during major disasters. A career highlight was helping the American Red Cross develop and teach their Pet Liaison and Pet Champion programs. Today, I focus on helping organizations and agencies improve their disaster preparedness and recovery strategies to protect animals, people, and property. I work with organizations to develop emergency plans, provide training, and build partnerships to improve readiness, response, and recovery efforts in times of crisis.

I am passionate about seeing sanctuaries not just survive, but truly thrive. With a deep appreciation for the incredible teams behind these organizations, I specialize in identifying areas where support is needed and working collaboratively to achieve your mission. For the animals, I bring expertise in developing comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with industry standards, enhancing daily care for residents, building strong veterinary partnerships, designing enrichment programs that fit within your budget, and establishing adoption guidelines where applicable. These are my superpowers—this is why I do what I do. In sanctuary work, we often hear, “I don’t like people; I just want to work with animals.” But the reality is that thriving sanctuaries require strong teams, effective volunteer programs, and meaningful community engagement. I help organizations build structured volunteer initiatives, mentor staff, and lay the groundwork for impactful education programs and guided tours—ensuring your mission is effectively shared with donors and the public. The most rewarding part of my work is transforming your goals and ideas into a sustainable, thriving reality—one that will carry your organization forward for years to come.

Boston Perciful

Boston is a rescue Frenchie/Pittie special needs foster fail who could not be left out of the family mission of providing support to those in the animal welfare sector. He reminds us daily that no matter how much animal knowledge and experience one might have, sometimes even our most beloved animal friends are going to test our patience and make us question our skills. He is his own little guy with extremely strong opinions and a big voice. Boston is an interesting mix of funny, silly, protective and laser-focused. It’s who he chooses to be, and we would not change a thing about him! When he is not overseeing all aspects of business, Boston can be found barking at wildlife, hiking with dad, exploring SniffSpots with dog friends and convincing us to take him on long road trips around the US and Canada.
